What a day!

Happy 4th of July!  Huge thank yous to Neal, Marcel, Marc and the Can-Do Spirit of our entire Hurricane Family for partnering with the HOA to see the pump repairs though and for keeping us on track today.  We are pleased to host our meet as planned tomorrow morning, but within an hour of being notified of the pool pump issue, it was reassuring to know there was a backup plan in place.  Hurricanes, they get the job done!

Because of the Holiday we are not setting up the pool as normal the night before the meet - that is going to leave quite a lot to do tomorrow morning. Please, if you are able, come on over to the pool at 6:30 to set up.

Please enjoy the senior ceremony, the swimming and maybe a sno-cone.  But stick around afterwards for a quick Clean-up. We appreciate everyone who pitches in; if you don't know how to help, here are two tasks that always need attention:

1. Trash Can Bags to the Dumpster: No heavy lifting required. Just take a bag from the nearest trash can and place it carefully next to the dumpster. Once, we have gathered all the bags there, we will have the dumpster unlocked so we can toss the trash in. 

2. Move chairs - So. Many. Chairs.  Many hands make light work.  If you aren't sure where something goes, just follow one of our veteran volunteers.

Clean-up duty isn't on the sign up sheet because we all share this job. It is a Holiday weekend and we would love to hand the pool back to the general membership as soon as possible so they can enjoy pool time too.
