Hello Swim Families!

In preparation for our upcoming away meet against Orange Hunt (OH), please see below for all relevant details.

Volunteers: Please sign up by quickly. We still need a marshal, card reader and a table worker

Per NVSL standards, all officials should wear a white top and navy bottoms. (Ref, Stroke & Turn, Starter, Timers, Relay Take off, Marshal)

Pool Rundown:

8600 Bridlewood Drive, Springfield, VA.

Its deep in the heart of West Springfield

It is another great pool. Its a standard Z shape pool like ours but has 8 lanes

The team area will have early natural shade, but will eventually get sunny

Arrival times:

1. The meet begins at 9am. Hiddenbrook will warm up second from 8:20 to 8.40 am. Please make sure your swimmer arrives 20 minutes prior to warm-ups, 8:00 am, so they are ready to go.

2. Officials (Ref, Starter, Stroke and Turn judges, Timers, Head Timer, Clerks of Course) should arrive on deck at no later than 8:15 for briefings. Swim Marshals, please arrive prior to 8am, as all Marshals must be in place prior to our team warm-up.

Parking:

They have a large parking lot and most OH families are encouraged to walk to the meet.. There will be a section of the lot in the back by the basketball hoop that must stay free of cars for emergency vehicles. Please only park in designated parking spaces.

Team Areas:

The team area will be the grassy area between the pavilion and the orange picnic tables. Please remind your swimmers to bring folding chairs.

1. Please bring goggles, sunscreen, swim cap, a foldable chair, towel, bathing suit, bottle of water, snacks, enthusiasm, and the other normal necessities of a meet.

Spectators:

Your families are welcome to sit at the tables on the patio by the Shark Shack or on the bleachers at the turn end of the pool.

Make sure your swimmers get plenty of rest and arrive Saturday ready to swim fast. If you have any additional questions, just write me back and I will be happy to assist.

Concessions

The Shark Shack will be open starting at 8am. We will have breakfast burritos, donuts, hot chocolate, coffee and other snack food items all morning long. The Shark Shack accepts cash and all electronic payments: credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

After the Meet:

After the meet, the team will meet for lunch at Santini's in Reston, near the Home Depot.
