B Meet Sign Ups - Please Read

Time for the first B meet! Sign Ups for the Blue and White Meet will close Saturday at 7. This is a hard stop as the coaches have to see who is signed up to be able to draft their teams on Sunday!!

How do B Meet Sign Ups Work?

If you are new to the team (or just need a reminder) here is how it works. Parents are allowed to sign their swimmer up for 2 individual strokes (Free, Back, Breast or Fly) plus an Individual Medley (where they swim one length of each of the four strokes). Since we have not yet had an A meet there are no restrictions on what swimmers can swim for the Blue and White Meet (normally you can't swim the same stroke you swam the previous Saturday).

A Plea from the Team Officials:

Please, please, please...if you are not confident that your swimmer is legal in a particular stroke, DO NOT SIGN THEM UP FOR THAT STROKE!! We want to set our swimmers up for success and getting disqualified at their first meet can be a bit deflating. The number of breast stroke and butterfly DQs in our B meets is enormous historically. If your swimmer really really really wants to compete in one of the more advanced strokes and isn't quite there yet, perhaps a few private lessons will get them to the point of being successful. This also applies to Individual Medleys. The swimmer must be legal in all four strokes and have the stamina to swim a 100. Remember, we want successful happy swimmers!!

The meet entries for B meets is typically merged Sunday nights and meet sheets published on Monday mornings. For the Blue and White meet this sheet will also show if your swimmer has been drafted to Team Blue or Team White so you can plan your spirit wear appropriately!
