Post Meet wrap up
Parents,
Well, as you can see, the division 4 competition is much tougher
As coach Jon said, we swam great today. We just ran into a team with more depth than we had.
Final Score Hiddenbrook 155 - Mantua 265
Personal Bests: 72 of 120 individual swims today were best times.
Kids who had their first A meet ever today. They got promoted from AAA to the major leagues. Congrats, we all remember out first A meet, mine was June of 1986 against Hollin Hills
Jamie Gray - Maddie Atkinson - Eli Banikiotes - Caitlyn King - Patrick Mehan
Sara Nugent - Jaxon Goins - Amelia Rigling - Gina Bruner
Bob the Gnome award for this week - Mason Leveto
3 amazing swims today and he wrecked coach Jon's team at the blue and white meet. Coach Jon's words were, "I will never pick against Mason again!"
Things we need to better as a team
1) Caps. They need to be Hiddenbrook caps. We got lucky that the ref was being lenient. The NVSL rule is: Team Cap, NVSL Cap or Solid color cap
There were some Herndon Olympics caps today and few other things. Those are not allowed. See Dawn Jarvis if you need a new one.
2) Jewelry. Although not illegal, it is considered a swimming faux pas to swim with watches, necklaces, rings etc on.
3) Please do your best to wear Hiddenbrook apparel to the meet.
Quote of the day - Hudson Collie - Upon finding out that he was being last minute swum up to replace an absent swimmer.
Hudson "Do I get a dog tag at the banquet if I do this?"
Coach Jon - Yes
Hudson "Lets do this!"
Next week:@ Lee Graham. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful facilities in the NVSL
