Pool Rundown:
9330 Pentland Place Fairfax, VA 22031
Mantua is a wonderful pool. We had divisionals here a few years ago. It is actually two pools, the upper pool is a 6 lane * 25 meter lane lap pool, and the lower pool is a 6 * 25 meter Z shaped pool similar to Hiddenbrook. The meet is in the lower pool
Arrival times:
1. The meet begins at 9am. Hiddenbrook will warm up first from 8:25 to 8.45am. Please make sure your swimmer arrives 20 minutes prior to warm-ups, Aproximatly 8:05am, so they are ready to go.
2. Officials (Ref, Starter, Stroke and Turn judges, Timers, Head Timer, Clerks of Course…) should arrive on deck at no later than 8:15 for briefings. Swim Marshals, please arrive prior to 8am, as all Marshals must be in place prior to our team warm-up.
Parking: There will be 5 parking spots reserved for the Visiting team – 2 Rep, 2 Coach, and 1 Data (as well as a spot for our Division Coordinator). These spots are located at the back of the lot, next to the pool. We will have spots marked off for our tennis courts, but the rest of the lot will be for your team’s use. Parking is available along Glenbrook Rd; we ask that you do not park on Pentland Place (entrance to parking lot) as it blocks in the residents and needs to be accessible to emergency vehicles. Traffic flow goes in a counter-clockwise direction in the parking lot.
Team Areas:
- The Team Area will be at the far side of the lower pool, in the grassy area behind the fence (opposite Timer Area). This area is shared by both teams a. A “path” will run behind the team areas to the Clerk of Course. Please note that in the event of rain, we recommend bringing tarps for the team area. **The Team Areas may be adjusted if weather conditions are bad.
- Please bring goggles, sunscreen, swim cap, towel, bathing suit, bottle of water, snacks, enthusiasm, and the other normal necessities of a meet.
Spectators:

We are allowed to share a meet sheet with times this year. It will come out tomorrow, with a list of key races highlighted
Make sure your swimmers get plenty of rest and arrive Saturday ready to swim fast.
