HB vs B

Hiddenbrook Parents:

Welcome to the Brandywine swim meet.

What is at stake:

Win the meet and you win at least a share of the division 5 title! (I am told you earn a division championship shirt, if you bring home the title)

3 teams are 3-1, HB, LHP and MVP

If VH and VR both win then the title is solely ours!

LHP vs VH

VR vs MVP

HB vs B

Location: 9537 Helenwood Drive, Fairfax, VA 22032

It is 18-20 miles away depending on where you live

Just down Braddock Rd from George Mason University

Our warm up time is at 8:20, You should plan on the drive taking 30 minutes plus a 15 minute cushion. I would leave Herndon no later than 7:35.

Parking: There is limited parking, but plenty of parking along the outer streets. Please do not block mailboxes or driveways.

Layout and Seating:

Brandywine is a 6 lane, L shaped pool. They also have a large cell phone tower disguised as a sequoia tree in the parking lot!

Brandywine will have lounge chairs to sit on, but you are welcome to bring your own seating too.

We are bringing our team canopies and swimmers should bring chairs too.

Senior Day: It is senior day for Brandywine, they are graduating 5 seniors. They will also recognize our 3 seniors who are graduating. This will happen right before the meet begins.

Immediately upon conclusion of the meet, after the girls mixed age relay, there will be one final event. A 125 meter relay as their seniors say goodbye. Our three seniors, plus two of their friends, have graciously agreed to participate. Both team’s remaining swimmers are to crowd around the pool deck kicking and splashing the water as they swim one last race!

Concessions:

Brandywine does have a healthy concessions bar, but I am informed that it is a cash only facility.

Conclusion: The team is meeting at Mission BBQ in the clocktower shopping center after the meet. If you are a vegetarian, there is a Noodles & Company plus a Starbucks right next door. The patio seating was really nice last time

Special thanks to Jenn King for setting this up.

Thanks,
