  7. Parking: No parking will be allowed in Virginia Run's parking lot without a pass.  Most people are parking at Bull Run elementary school, then using the light to cross 29. (please use the light and don’t play frogger on route 29)
  8. Weather, It is tradition that we get storms, this year looks no different. See notes below

WEATHER NOTES FOR RELAY CARNIVAL

In the event of a thunderstorm during the meet the following procedures will be implemented:

1. All spectators, swimmers, coaches, and officials will go immediately to their cars. A

pool is one of the most dangerous places to be during a thunderstorm so decisions to

clear the pool and halt the meet will be made without hesitation.

2. Team Reps should report to the pool office with the Pool Manager, Meet Manager, and Referee.

3. We will make a final decision concerning the continuation of the meet. (If we can safely get the meet in after the storm passes, we will do so.) Generally, there is a 15-30-minute wait between the last thunder or lightning strike and the continuation of the meet. This varies from pool to pool due to Pool Management Policy.

4. No one should leave until hearing the official word on the meet’s continuation. You will be informed of any and all official decisions by your Team Rep or by the Meet Manager. Information from other sources may be false.
