Hiddenbrook vs Little Hunting Park
Hello Swim Families!
In preparation for our upcoming home against Little Hunting Park, please see below for all relevant details. Bob sent an emial earlier today listing the swimmers who made the meet
Volunteers: We still need several more families to assist with the set-up tomorrow morning, We still need, 7 timers, 2 clerk of course, 3 relay take off judges, 3 table workers, and a umber of people to help with set up and concessions. We can’t run the meet without your help. Please sign up today. Per NVSL standards, all officials should wear a white top and navy bottoms.
Arrival times:
1. The meet begins at 9am. Hiddenbrook will warm up first from 8.00 to 8.20am. Mantua warm-ups are from 8.25 to 8.45am. Please make sure your swimmer arrives 20 minutes prior to warm-ups, 7.40 am, so they are ready to go.
2. Officials (Ref, Starter, Stroke and Turn judges, Timers, Head Timer, Clerks of Course…) should arrive on deck at no later than 8:15 for briefings. Swim Marshals, please arrive prior to 8am, as all Marshals must be in place prior to our team warm-up. All deck officials, volunteers, and spectators who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear masks while at the meet.
Parking: Our lot should accommodate all families, however, if you park on the street, please do NOT block driveways or mailboxes, as you will be ticketed or towed.
Team Areas:
Please note the Hiddenbrook’s team area is located in the picnic area under the large blue funbrella.
- There are picnic tables for swimmers to put their belongings on but many swimmers bring foldable chairs to put their things on too. We could have equipped a small army with the belongings left at Time Trials, so please encourage your swimmers to be diligent about keeping their stuff from spreading out.
- Please bring goggles, sunscreen, swim cap, towel, bathing suit, bottle of water, snacks, enthusiasm, and the other normal necessities of a meet.
Return to Team Area:
Once swimmers have completed their races, they will be escorted by marshals back to the team areas along the deck of the pool, please make sure they return to the team areas and do not leave the facility, go to the playground, or hang out on the bleachers.
Spectators:
Hiddenbrook has two 15 foot, 5 riser bleachers. We provide canopies over the top of them so that they are mostly in shade.
Other items to note:
- We provide complimentary water to all meet officials (timers, stroke and turns, ref, starter, marshals, team reps, clerk of course, announcer, etc.)
- Picnic on the Pipeline: Join the team for a picnic on the pipeline after Saturday's swim meet. Reserve and pay for your meal at the link below. This is also loaded on the events page on the team website. Unfortunately, we will not be taking payment or orders in person so please place your order and process your payment by Friday at 8PM. It is an easy two step process- first it will first take your order and then move you to the next screen to process your payment.

3.Make sure your swimmers get plenty of rest and arrive Saturday ready to swim fast. This meet looks to be very close. Little Hunting Park has really good depth in places we don’t and vice versa. One place that both teams have depth and will be battling it out is our 8&under boys and girls. If you have any additional questions, just write me back and I will be happy to assist.
Cheers,
Neal
